AAPRCO’s 2020 American Autumn Explorer
43rd Annual Convention
Burlington, Vermont
September 22-October 1, 2020
After this long period of self isolation and quarantine we are delighted to operate a scenic private car train
through the northeast to relish the fall foliage. Please make plans to join AAPRCO on this fabulous scenic
adventure. Unlike previous years, each car will be self quarantined until the pandemic is resolved. Except
for operating personnel, there will be no passage between cars.
APPRCO in cooperation with Amtrak and the Vermont Rail System is proud to announce plans for the
first American Autumn Explorer annual special train. We have received preliminary approval from Amtrak
and final approval from VRS for the American Autumn Explorer. This train will require use of discreet PV
generators for two days due to the absence of HEP on VRS.

9:30 PM. (Welcome aboard!, cocktails/snacks, safety meeting) Travel overnight through Indiana, Ohio
and Pennsylvania.

Rail System as their special train. Passengers in business cars for the first time in several years can
enjoy sitting on platforms and everyone can enjoy some fresh Vermont mountain air in open window
vestibules. The fall colors should be in full bloom as we travel south all the way to Hoosic Junction. We
