New Years Eve in New York City 

Cincinnati – Chicago – New York – Washington, DC – Cincinnati

December 28, 2008  – January 3, 2009

Join the Cincinnati Railway for a one-of-a-kind trip to the #1 New Years Eve destination: Times Square in New York City!  Board the train in either Cincinnati or Chicago and travel with the Birch Grove Sleeper car and the Oliver Hazard Perry Luxury Lounge Sleeper for a New Years Eve arrival in New York City.  Take time to sight see before heading to Frankie and Johnnie’s for a 9:00 p.m. dinner reservation. You'll have plenty of time to "take it all in” before heading back to the train for a 3:00 a.m. departure from New York City. Once back on-board, you'll sleep your way into Washington, D.C. down the Northeast Corridor at 110 miles per hour, where our previous riders assured us - New Years Day is a fantastic day for sightseeing - No Lines, and ALL of the National Museums are open! Depart for Cincinnati on January 2nd on the westbound Cardinal and wake up in Cincinnati the morning of January 3rd.  This trip is already booking quickly! Don't miss out!

Itinerary

Sunday, December 28 - Board our trains at McCullough Yard in Cincinnati between 7:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Celebrate the start of the trip during the Bon Voyage Party complete with drinks and hors d'oeuvres. Retire to your private sleeping quarters anytime during the evening.

Monday, December 29 - Depart Cincinnati for Chicago early am.  Full breakfast served on board. Lunch and dinner on your own in Chicago.

Tuesday, December 30 - Awake in Chicago to a light breakfast served on board. One more day in Chicago. Lunch and dinner will again be on your own.   Depart Chicago heading eastbound on the Lake Shore Limited at 10:00 pm.

Wednesday, December 31 - Awake en route to New York City. Breakfast and Lunch will be served on board. Look to arrive in NYC by 6:45 pm. Disembark upon arrival and take as much of the city in as you can! Join the group at Frankie and Johnnie's on W 27th St for a 9:00 p.m. dinner reservation. Our cars will depart NYC approximately THREE hours after the ball drops so take your time, but make sure you're back on the train by 3:00 am!

Thursday, January 1 - Awake in Washington, D.C. to enjoy a full day and night there. Take advantage of the crowd-free museums! Breakfast will be served, however, lunch and dinner will be on your own.

Friday, January 2 - Awake to a light breakfast before departing at 11:10 am for Cincinnati. A full lunch and dinner will be served on board.

Saturday, January 3 - Awake to a light breakfast before disembarking at your leisure.
