Batesville Applefest Excursion

Saturday September, 26th 2009

Join us as we embark to Batesville for the annual Applefest. Enjoy the season of fall as you travel aboard our rail cars through the vibrant countryside of southwestern Ohio and southeastern Indiana. Upon arriving in Batesville, take time to celebrate the apple season with entertainment, arts and crafts, local vendors, games, and delicious apple filled foods.

Itinerary:

9:00a.m. - Depart from Longworth Hall in Cincinnati

11:45 a.m. - Arrive in Batesville

Once in Batesville passengers have two options:

• Layover for 2 hours 45 minutes to tour the town of Batesville and enjoy the Applefest.
• Take the Side trip to Greensburg and back, for an additional 1hour 30 minute scenic ride. (Passengers will stay onboard throughout this trip.)

12:45p.m. - Trains depart to Greensburg for the Side Trip. Ride lasts approximately 1 hour 30 minutes.

2:15p.m- All Batesville passengers will re-board and everybody will make their way back to Cincinnati.

4:45p.m-Arrive back at Longworth Hall in Cincinnati.

Side Trip to Greensburg

There will be trains that will take people from Batesville to Greensburg and back. This excursion will have a separate cost from the Batesville trip. This way, visitors at the Batesville Applefest have the option to take a short train ride and then return back to Batesville.

*If Batesville passengers want to have this option, then they need to purchase a separate ticket for this event.

Tickets:

Round trip from Cincinnati, Ohio to Batesville, Ind.:

Coach Class: $40 (Adults) $30 (Children & Seniors) – Ticket includes access to the concession car where food and drinks will be available for purchase.

*Coach Class ONLY- if children 2 & under occupy a seat they require a regular price child ticket. If they sit on a lap and do not occupy their own seat they are free.

1 ½ Hr Side Trip to Greensburg: $18 (Adults) – $15 (Children & Seniors)

Group Discounts- to receive the discount you must pay up-front in full.
